The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) is a specialized public research university located in Budapest, Hungary, established in 1925 and recognized as one of Europe’s foremost institutions for sports science, physical education and sport management. It offers a comprehensive range of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs — including Sport & Exercise Science, Sports Coaching, Sports Management, International Sports Diplomacy and a unique Doctoral School in Sport Sciences — integrating theoretical knowledge with hands‑on practice in state‑of‑the‑art sports facilities and research laboratories. With more than 3,500 students from various countries and extensive international partnerships (70+ Erasmus and Pannónia agreements and 36 bilateral collaborations), the university supports global academic mobility and collaboration. HUSS has strong ties with national and international sporting bodies, hosts scientific conferences and summer schools, and emphasizes advanced research in areas such as biomechanics, exercise physiology and sport management, and is ranked among the world’s top institutions in sports science in the Shanghai Rankings. Its campus is centrally located at Alkotás u. 42‑48, Budapest, Hungary, offering students a vibrant international environment and a blend of education, research and elite athletic development.
