The Huazhong University of Science and Technology is a public, coeducational research university located in Wuhan, China. It is one of the Top 10 universities in China. Academically, HUST is a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary research university, covering 12 major disciplines; philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management and arts, offering a variety of degree programs, including undergraduate and graduate degree programs. In addition, research plays an important role in the university’s structure across its 11 National Key Laboratories and Engineering (Technology) Research Centers. Academic life has always been put in the firs t place by HUST students; as HUST graduates were expected to possess the skills and abilities for becoming outstanding experts in their science fields. However, other fields have also been taken into consideration such as; art and literature; as Chinese literature is a required course for any degrees or programs at HUST.
