The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) is one of the UK’s and Ireland’s four royal surgical colleges. An educational institution with an emphasis on the medical specialty of surgery in Ireland, the college is also home to Ireland’s largest medical school, welcoming over 3,000 students hailing from 60 countries around the globe. With its main campus located in Ireland’s stunning capital of Dublin, RCSI currently offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and medicine. Composed of five schools and four faculties, students of RCSI have the opportunity to study and conduct research in a broad range of medical fields. An international institutio n, 80% of its student body is from outside the EU. To further embrace its international focus, RCSI opened a campus in Bahrain in 2004, Dubai in 2005, and Malaysia in 2007 (in partnership with University College Dublin and Georgetown). Additionally, students of the college have access to a range of collaborative agreements with leading universities around the world, which have in the past included Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, and Tufts University.
