Montana State University Billings - MSUB
Billings - United States of America
Montana State University Billings, formerly known as Eastern Montana College, was established in 1927 and is a long-standing public university located in the center of Billings, Montana, in the United States. The university is distinguished by its commitment to strong educational traditions while offering comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs across its five academic colleges. It is recognized for its relatively low student density, which enhances academic engagement and allows students to benefit more effectively from lectures, facilities, and personalized instruction. MSU Billings prepares students for a wide range of professional careers, including nursing, education, business, politics, and the arts, by integrating academic study with practical experience supported by individualized academic advising. The university includes a language school that promotes interactive learning through instructional activities, guided tours, and educational excursions, and it maintains a fully equipped sports complex reflecting its emphasis on physical education and year-round athletic activities. Its central mission is to enable all members of the university community to reach their full individual potential, supported by its downtown location that provides easy access to cultural, educational, service, and recreational activities, as well as proximity to major natural and cultural landmarks such as Yellowstone National Park, Montana’s large zoological park, the Yellowstone River, and the Western Heritage Center, thereby offering students a rich and balanced academic and life experience.
