The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) AMDA is a private performing arts conservatory in the United States, founded in 1964 in New York City and later expanded to Los Angeles. The academy offers advanced professional programs in acting, musical theatre, dance, and performing arts, including Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees and short-term professional certificates. The academy emphasizes hands-on, practical training, providing students opportunities to perform in live shows and projects during their studies, preparing graduates for careers in stage, television, and film. AMDA attracts students from around the world, offering a vibrant and creative performing arts environment. AMDA has two main campuses: New York City campus in the Upper West Side, near Lincoln Center. Los Angeles campus in the Hollywood Entertainment District.
