Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) is the oldest technical university in Russia east of the Urals. It was founded in 1896; however, it was until 1934 when the three divided parts of the university got reunited to form a new institute that would be named the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute. The University offers a wide range of dynamic and relevant study programs in several fields of study at all levels both in Russian and in English. In addition, the university has a number of international relations with schools all over the world. Furthermore, TPU has an excellent on and off campus life for successful studying and active entertainment as well among its educational buildings, scientific researc h institutes and centers, international laboratories, libraries, cafes, International Cultural Center, recreation centers, gyms, a stadium, etc.
