Located in Dayton, Ohio’s sixth-largest city, the University of Dayton (UD) is a private Roman Catholic national research university. Founded in 1850, the university features a scenic campus situated in the southern part of the city, covering 388 acres on both sides of the Great Miami River. Serving more than 10,000 students across undergraduate and graduate programs, UD provides opportunities for global study, including at the University of Dayton China Institute located in Suzhou Industrial Park, China. Each year, students from over 40 countries enroll at the university and pursue their studies through more than 80 academic programs offered by this distinguished institution. UD provides programs in the arts and sciences, business administration, education and health sciences, engineering, and law, and it holds the distinction of being the first university in the United States to offer an undergraduate degree in human rights. In addition to its strong academic offerings, the University of Dayton provides a wide range of engaging student activities. With 37 club sports teams, 12 intramural sports, and opportunities to participate in fraternities and sororities, students from diverse backgrounds and experiences can easily find a community and a sense of belonging on campus.
