The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is a well-established public university in the United Kingdom, recognised as one of the largest modern universities in Scotland. Its history dates back to 1897 with the founding of the Paisley College of Technology, and it gained full university status in 1992, adopting its current name in 2007.
