Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is a prestigious public research university in Wageningen, the Netherlands, globally recognized for its leadership in life sciences, environmental sciences, food systems and sustainability, operating under the mission “to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life.” It combines high-quality education with cutting-edge research across about 20 bachelor’s programmes, over 30 master’s programmes and extensive PhD training, many of which are taught in English and emphasize interdisciplinary, problem-based learning in areas such as agrotechnology, food science and technology, environmental management, plant sciences, water and soil sciences.
