The Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), established in 1984, is the sixth Malaysian public university. It is also known as a management university. The university is located in The State of Kedah Darul Aman, a land of unique natural beauty with the greenery of lush tropical forests and clear blue skies. UUM consists of 3 academic colleges accompanied by many schools and faculties within, covering a wide range of fields of study. Furthermore, the university provides several facilities for sports and recreational activities for all students and staff as a part of the objective to develop a physically and mentally healthy community; in addition to other facilities and services including; medical f acilities, IT support, student societies, library facilities, religious facilities, a language center, counselling center & services, accommodation, restaurants & cafes, a culture and arts center and more.
